Since there's a whole lot going on at CRASHfest, and since getting from one stage to another from the restaurant, to the Foundation Room, to the main hall, we made a map to make it easier on you. These are printed and can be grabbed from the info table in the lobby of the main hall (where we'll also have some sweet swag for you to grab), but if you wanted to get yourself acquainted in advance, take a look here.
I'm not sure I've properly described how cool Drive by Press is. If you've searched through our site, you will have seen that the FIRST 50 PEOPLE in the door of the festival get a free t-shirt. That's a pretty rad perk just for showing up early (doors are at 4:30pm). But do you understand how Drive by Press actually creates these shirts? Well, watch this.

You may not realize this. but CRASHfest is a HUGE deal to us at World Music/CRASHarts. For 25 years we have been presenting incredibly talented artists from around the globe to adventurous audiences in greater Boston. And on our 25th anniversary, and thanks to a very generous grant from the Wallace Foundation, we decided we needed to make our programming more accessible to a younger audience. And CRASHfest is that answer. CRASHfest hopes to introduce a new generation of music lovers to the amazing musicians that have inspired much of the music we all listen to today. Take Vampire Weekend, for example. Vampire Weekend has credited their sound to a mix of contemporary American indie-rock, Western classical music, and South African traditional music. And if you listen, you can hear those global beats and it's exciting and it's wonderful. World Music/CRASHarts brings you these influencers, to experience live direct from their countries around the world. It's time you expanded your musical horizons and discovered something new.

Because we are expecting you to spend all night with us, enjoying these 10 incredible bands, we thought you'd need to be fed. But we didn't want to feed you just any normal chicken fingers and fries, we decided to stick with our theme of celebrating different cultures, and the chef over at the House of Blues restaurant came up with an incredibly delicious looking menu inspired by global street food items found around the world that will be available for sale during CRASHfest.

All the information you need about CRASHfest, a new music festival coming to Boston in January 2016. Remember how miserable last winter was? Well, this is the perfect option for something amazing to do on at least one of those winter days.
CRASHfest presents artists that range from indie bands, to Americana, to local bands, to world music bands. Our goal is to transform the House of Blues Boston into an indoor music festival that showcases artists from across the globe, and brings people to together to celebrate cultural exchange.
Global street food, custom cocktails, and international beer will be available for sale. There will be tons to do and watch during set changes... think photo booths, Henna tattoos, aerialists, t-shirt printing, Bollywood dancers, and more.
The possibilities are endless.
